The grids are a blast in it. 10/10 would be ththe perfect car in GTI trim. How's everyone is doing today?

I should have driven one, just to drive it. When I bought the 4Runner, one of my wants was the ability of someone to sit behind me when I had the front seat adjusted how I wanted. Granted, we normally only have 3 people in the vehicle. But there really wasn’t any way someone could sit behind me and still have legs.
Glad you’re liking it, though. I have to admit, I’ve been tempted to say screw it, and just get one anyway. The wife’s Jeep can be the hauler, and this can be the mostly my car.

If you’ve driven a GTI, would you rather have the Haldex AWD or the Haldex LSD? I can’t remember if there are any changes to the AWD system between this and the Golf R besides reinforcing it for the extra power, interesting to find out.

There are two of those at my local VW dealer for 22k USD. Seems like a pret ty good deal to me. I’d love a new car but I just don’t drive that much, like this may be a 2,000-3,000 mile year for my Mazda the way things are going.

Glad you’re enjoying it!
I’m doing okay. Got a call Monday night, they closed my building down and told us all not to come back in until the 20th at the earliest. A cleaning person who was in our building on the 8th has tested positive for COVID-19. So now I’m home on self quarantine, and trying to telework, even though my job isn’t really able to be done via telework. So we’re just doing lots of BS annual training. Though I gotta admit, sometimes training looks a lot like work on my Volvo 850, or yard work, or taking the dog for a walk.
Speaking of walking the dog, how is Sammy? I saw the Ultimate Dog Jail post. I hope she’s okay.

I don’t recall what engine you have but you can get it remapped, etc... of join a VW club and find someone with a VCDS or similar (eg OBD11pro). Because the engines are shared between Skoda, SEAT, VW, Audi, etc... using VCDS and altering certain values can make the engine more responsive, etc...

Made French Toast for breakfast, took doggo for a walk. The weather is too beautiful to be depressed. I wish it was 65 degrees, sunny, and windy every day. EVERY. DAY.

Excellent. Just about to go and spray 15 litres of glyphosate solution on some African Lovegrass that’s dotted about the place then head into town for the weekly shop & mail run whilst the Lad does some tele- Granny time/home schooling with his grandmother (who is going stir crazy in lockdown in her apartment, five hours drive away).

Yeah, probably not the best to buy a new car if you don’t really need it, no matter how good a deal it is.

I just came back from a safety meeting to go back to work Monday morning.
Shits gonna be weird. On my 100km to go to work, this was the first time ever that there were so few cars on the road. Even had to pass a police roadblock since my city is under total lockdown.
